Established in 1952, the Serengeti National Park is the site of the famous wildebeest and zebra migration and is home to a variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes.

It is divided into three parts and covers 14,763 square kilometers of classic savannah, woodland, and dense bushveld. The park is recognized for its ecological importance and is home to two World Heritage Sites and two Biosphere Reserves.

The park’s ancient ecosystem has remained largely unchanged and has inspired writers, filmmakers, photographers, and scientists alike.

The annual migration of over one million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras is an unrivaled natural spectacle that showcases the resilience and instinct of these animals.
