  • ARRIVAL DAY

    After your arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by our guide and taken to your Lodge. After you have settled into your accommodation, you will have the opportunity to get to know your motorcycle in the evening. Our experts will carry out a thorough inspection and ensure that everything is perfectly prepared for your upcoming adventure.

    After the inspection, you will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with your motorcycle on a relaxed test ride and get in the mood for the exciting days ahead.

  • DAY 1:
    WEST KILIMANJARO TO LAKE CHALA – 250 KM

    After breakfast, an adventurous drive awaits us over gravel tracks, rocks, sandy passages, forest paths and a few kilometres of asphalt road.

    Our route takes us via Rombo on the border between Tanzania and Kenya to Lake Chala.

    On the way, we are rewarded with breathtaking views of the majestic Kilimanjaro, which we circle in a clockwise direction.

    We finally reach Lake Chala in the evening, where we can relax over a cosy dinner.

  • DAY 2:
    LAKE CHALA TO SAME MOUNTAINS – 120 KM

    After breakfast at Lake Chala, we take a short walk down to the lake, where we have the opportunity to swim (optional). We then leave the lodge and head south on a winding, easy gravel road to the Pare Mountains.

    After the lunch break, we drive on a gravel road to the border of Lake Jipe.

    Next, we ascend into the Pare Mountains, offering a picturesque vista of the villages below. The lodge in Same boasts a stunning outlook of the southern Pare Mountains and sits in proximity to Mkomazi National Park and the Shengena Forest.

  • DAY 3:
    SAME MOUNTAINS TO LUSHOTO HIGHLANDS – 190 KM

    After breakfast, we explore the area of the eastern Pare Mountains. The route leads through the unspoilt savannah up to Lake Kalimawe, which is surrounded by rice/padi plantations and small villages.

    We continue through the area of the newly designated Mkomazi National Park.

    After lunch we explore the Usambara Mountain and the palm forests. We drive up the Usambara Mountains on the zigzag road and reach the village of Mtae (Mambo village), at an altitude of over 2300 metres above sea level, from where we have a unique view of the region.

  • DAY 4:
    LUSHOTO HIGHLANDS TO SIMANJIRO (MASAI STEPPE) – 200 KM

    After breakfast at the lodge, we leave Lushoto and drive downhill along the Usambara Mountains. We have a beautiful view of the rocky Usambara Mountains, which slope down to the Mkomazi National Park.

    The ride becomes challenging as we descend the hills with some rocky and loose gravel sections. After lunch, we start exploring the Maasai Steppe Conservancy, which lies between Tarangire National Park and the Simanjiro Plains, within the Northern Safari Circuit.

    Explore the vast Maasai steppe on this extensive, rugged trail, offering a diverse adventure for those seeking a blend of wildlife viewing, trekking, and immersive cultural encounters with the Maasai people.

  • DAY 5:
    SIMANJIRO TO DUKA BOVU – 172 KM

    After breakfast at the hotel, we drive on a gravel track through a semi-arid savannah, where a unique coexistence of wild animals and Maasai can be observed.

    This region is part of the Tarangire-Manyara ecosystem, which is known as a migration corridor for the Tarangire’s animal migrations.

    In Duka Bovu, we swap our motorcycles for a safari jeep to explore Tarangire National Park.

    In the late afternoon, we finally reach the gateway to Tarangire National Park and set off on an exciting safari to our lodge. A delicious dinner awaits us there.

  • DAY 6:
    FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

    After breakfast at the lodge, we set off on an exciting safari. Tarangire National Park is home to a variety of herbivores, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs and impalas.

    Big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and jackals can also be observed here in their natural habitat. With over 400 different bird species, the Tarangire National Park is also a real treasure trove for bird lovers.

    At lunchtime we return to the lodge where lunch will be served.

    After a relaxing break, we drive to our next lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

  • DAY 7:
    NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS TO SERENGETI

    After breakfast at the lodge, we set off with packed lunches via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti.

    On the way to the Serengeti, we will pass through different types of vegetation and landscapes such as dense forests, bush savannahs and plains where we may see animals such as elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals.

    We will arrive in the Serengeti around midday, have lunch and then continue the game drive in the central Serengeti to look for more animals. In the late evening we will arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 8:
    SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS

    After breakfast at the lodge, we set off on another half-day game drive equipped with packed lunches. On the way we encounter a variety of fascinating animals. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the wilderness and be enchanted by the unrivalled beauty and diversity of the Serengeti.

    After lunch, we leave the Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the beauty and diversity of the surroundings during the drive.

    Finally we arrive at Serena Lodge in the Ngorongoro area. Look forward to a relaxed dinner.

  • DAY 9:
    CRATER TOUR AND DRIVE OUT

    This will be our last game drive, so we will have an early breakfast in the lodge and we will depart with packed lunches to Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive.

    Ngorongoro Crater is a home of more than 27,000 wild animals including the big five which are elephants, black rhinos, cape buffaloes, lions and leopards. The Crater is a habitat of more than 100 different species of birds.

    After lunch in the Ngorongoro Crater we will drive out to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport.
