From the pristine shores of Lake Natron to the picturesque plains of Manyara and the hidden treasures of Lake Eyasi and Karatu, this tour offers unique insights into the rich wildlife and culture of Tanzania.

The adventure is rounded off with an exciting 4-day safari through the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, where you have the opportunity to experience the majestic “Big Five” up close.

DAY 1:
ARUSHA/KILIMANJARO AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
After your arrival at the airport, you will be met by our guide and taken to your hotel in Arusha. After you have settled into your accommodation, you will have the opportunity to get to know your motorbike in the evening. Our experts will carry out a thorough inspection and ensure that everything is perfectly prepared for your upcoming adventure.

After the inspection, you will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with your motorbike on a relaxed test ride and get in the mood for the exciting days ahead.

DAY 2:
ARUSHA TO LAKE NATRON – 240 KM
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, we head towards Longido Mountain. In the morning, you have the option to decide between a route comprising dirt and tarmac roads or one solely consisting of dirt roads. This journey doesn’t demand any particular technical expertise. Following approximately 2 hours of travel, we pause briefly in the quaint town of Longido to rejuvenate with a cup of coffee.

We then continue our journey to Kitumbeine Mountain, where we take a lunch break. After a fortifying meal, our route takes us along dusty roads for around 3 hours to the impressive Lake Natron. Along the way, we stop for photos and sightseeing, as this route offers a wealth of natural beauty, cultural insights, and possibly even wildlife encounters.

DAY 3:
LAKE NATRON TO MANYARA – 120 KM
Following breakfast at the lodge, we embark on a memorable day filled with excitement and natural marvels. Our journey begins by traversing the captivating Natron region, where we can marvel at the stunning waterfalls and the serene lake, teeming with numerous flamingos.

After these remarkable experiences, we proceed with our journey and head towards the scenic Lake Manyara. En route, you’ll traverse diverse landscapes and relish the thrill of motorcycling amidst Tanzania’s breathtaking natural scenery.

DAY 4:
MANYARA TO LAKE EYASI – 100 KM
Following breakfast at the lodge, we embark on a memorable journey to Lake Eyasi. Along the way, we traverse the captivating East African Rift Valley, with the stunning Lake Manyara on our left. Upon reaching the Eyasi area, you’ll be greeted by the scenic onion fields that this region is renowned for. Various types of onions flourish in the rich soil of this area.

The region is also inhabited by the Hadzabe tribe, sometimes referred to as the Bushmen. You’ll have a special chance to visit a Hadzabe family and learn about their captivating culture and lifestyle. Following this enlightening encounter, you’ll head back to the lodge in the evening for a delightful dinner.

DAY 5:
LAKE EYASI TO SERENGETI
After breakfast at our lodge, we drive about 1.5 hours to Karatu. There we leave our motorbikes and change to a safari jeep, which takes us on an unforgettable drive through the Serengeti.

During the drive, we cross different types of vegetation such as dense forests, vast bush savannahs and open grasslands.

We reach the Serengeti in the afternoon. There we have lunch at the entrance gate before setting off on an exciting game drive through the central Serengeti.

We spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the fascinating wildlife and experiencing unforgettable moments before returning to our camp, Embalakai Tented Camp, late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6:
FULL DAY IN SERENGETI
After an early breakfast at our lodge, we set off with packed lunches for an unforgettable full-day game drive in the central Serengeti.

The Serengeti is home to an impressive variety of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, caracals, serval cats and jackals. Their majestic presence gives this place a unique atmosphere and promises exciting encounters.

As we explore the endless savannah plains, we will be surrounded by a colourful variety of animals. Gazelles, topi, heart bears, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs and giraffes are just some of the fascinating species we will see. In addition, the Serengeti offers a rich birdlife with more than 500 different bird species that enliven the sky.

After an eventful day, we return to camp in the evening, where a delicious dinner awaits us.

DAY 7:
SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast at our lodge, we set off with packed lunches in our luggage for an unforgettable full-day crater tour. The journey there takes us through the fascinating Tanzanian landscape and lasts around 3 hours.

The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to an impressive variety of more than 27,000 wild animals. Here we have the unique opportunity to observe the famous Big Five – elephants, black rhinos, cape buffaloes, lions and leopards – in their natural environment.

However, it is not only the Big Five that impress here, but also other fascinating animals such as zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, heart bears and gazelles populate the crater, to name but a few. The Ngorongoro Crater is also home to a rich diversity of over 100 bird species.

After an eventful day of game viewing, we return to the lodge in the afternoon, where a delicious dinner awaits us.

DAY 8:
BACK TO ARUSHA AND JOURNEY HOME
After breakfast at the lodge, we head back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. This is the end of our adventure, but hopefully the beginning of many adventures with A2Zebra Experience.
