DAY 1:
KILIMANJARO/ARUSHA AIRPORT TO ARUSHA
Your guide will meet you at Arusha airport and accompany you to Arusha Planet Lodge. Upon arrival, take a moment to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventures awaiting you.

DAY 2:
ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park with packed lunches in our luggage. The journey on the tarmac road takes about 2.5 hours and offers the opportunity to admire the varied landscape. On the way, you will see many Maasai going about their daily activities: Fetching water, herding cattle, and trading when it is market day.

The Tarangire National Park is famous for its impressive herds of elephants, which have earned it the nickname “elephant paradise”. You will marvel at the mighty baobab trees, the many birds, the seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River.

Along the river, elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck, springbok, and giraffes gather to quench their thirst, always on the lookout for predators such as lions and leopards.

Lunch in the park with packed lunch, mineral water, coffee, and tea. The game drive lasts until late afternoon before returning to the lodge in Karatu.

DAY 3:
KARATU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we set off for the Serengeti National Park with packed lunches in our luggage. The route takes you through the Ngorongoro Rainforest where you have the opportunity to see a variety of animals including elephants, buffalo, waterbuck, baboons, and perhaps even leopards.

Watch the subtle changes in scenery as you travel from dense forest to open woodland and finally to the vast grassy plains of the Serengeti.

Upon reaching the Serengeti around midday, we pause for lunch before setting out on an unforgettable game drive to discover the park’s enchanting wildlife. Explore the beauty of one of the world’s most renowned national parks, where an incredible variety of animals and landscapes await.

At dusk, we arrive at Heritage Camp, where you can conclude the day with a delicious dinner and anticipate a peaceful night under the African starlit sky.

DAY 4:
FULL DAY IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Begin the day with an early breakfast, as a thrilling full-day game drive awaits you in the central Serengeti. The Seronera River, which attracts a diverse range of animals year-round, lends its name to this area.

On today’s safari, you can see an impressive variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, topis, impala, gazelles, giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, and perhaps even cheetahs. The Serengeti is also home to an astonishing variety of over 500 bird species that enliven the skies and complete the ecosystem.

Enjoy the unrivaled beauty and diversity of the Serengeti as you drive through this breathtaking conservation area. In the late afternoon, you will finally return to Heritage Camp, where you can round off the day with a delicious dinner.

DAY 5:
SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
Following breakfast, we depart from the Serengeti and make our way to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll be astonished by the wildlife. The drive takes about 3-4 hours and passes through scenic regions.

The Ngorongoro Crater, which took shape some two to three million years ago, formed from the eruption and collapse of a massive volcano. Celebrated worldwide for its stunning geological formations, it is also home to over 27,000 wild animals.

Elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards, the famous “Big 5”, can be observed in the crater. If you are lucky, you may also spot the endangered black rhino, which occasionally appears in the open grasslands of the crater.

The crater contains three significant swamp zones, ensuring the year-round presence of migratory animals like wildebeest and zebra.

Upon completing an extensive game drive and enjoying lunch amidst the crater, we head towards Marera Lodge in Karatu, providing you with the chance to unwind with a peaceful dinner at the end of the day.

DAY 6:
KARATU TO ARUSHA AIRPORT
After breakfast at the lodge, we drive about 2.5 hours to Arusha airport, from where we fly to Zanzibar.

The direct flight from Arusha to Zanzibar takes approx. 1.5 hours.

After your arrival in Zanzibar in the afternoon, you will be met by another member of our team at Abeid Amaan Karume airport and accompanied to your hotel. Relax, explore the surroundings and savour the delicious local cuisine over dinner.

DAY 7 TO 9:
ZANZIBAR
From your hotel, you have a marvellous view of the Indian Ocean and the beaches. Relax with a gentle sea breeze on the beautiful beaches right in front of your accommodation at Mnarani Beach Cottage and enjoy delicious meals.

If you wish, you can also discover the fascinating sights of Zanzibar with one of our experienced guides. These optional activities offer unique insights into the island’s rich culture and unspoilt nature.
